The Khuti Pujo ceremony at Kankurgachi Chalantika Club marked the auspicious start of our Durga Puja preparations. The day began with an inauguration dance performance by talented local dance enthusiasts, setting the stage for a vibrant and joyous celebration.
To add to the grandeur, we were honored to host several esteemed guests:
- Smt. Supti Pandey, MLA of Maniktala constituency, who graced the event with her presence.
- Dr. B. D. Mukherjee, our esteemed brand ambassador, a renowned gynecologist and actor.
- Miss Shreya Pandey, a well-known social worker, whose presence inspired the community.
- Famous YouTubers and influential personalities from various fields.
- Other distinguished dignitaries who joined in to celebrate the occasion with us.
The Khuti Pujo was not only a cultural celebration but also a gathering of creativity, community spirit, and unity, bringing everyone together to kickstart the Durga Puja festivities on a high note.

Chalantika Durgotsav Kankurgachi proudly presents “Dui Bigha Jomi,” inspired by Rabindranath Tagore, to honor Kobiguru.
This timeless tale reflects the harsh reality of power, greed, and oppression. Upen, a symbol of the helpless, loses his land to the king’s insatiable greed—just as many still fall prey to exploitation today. Though landlords are gone, their unjust mentality remains.
It’s time to challenge this oppression and reclaim justice. The fight is now!
